In-Rhythm: Bice Lazzari and Nasreen Mohamedi

'In-Rhythm' stages an unprecedented artistic dialogue between two pioneering twentieth-century female abstract artists: Indian modernist Nasreen Mohamedi (1937–1990) and Italian master Bice Lazzari (1900–1981). Working on separate continents, both artists independently stripped away decorative superfluity to discover the transcendent, metaphysical possibilities of the geometric grid, rhythm, and empty space.

Curated by Roobina Karode, this exhibition brings together delicate ink drawings, pencil grids, temperas, and archival notebooks, revealing surprising structural affinities and poetic musicality in both artists' pursuit of pure abstraction.
