Curatorial Essay & Exhibition Concept
'Wide Angle' brings together a premier collective of documentary photographers whose lenses capture the pulse, contradictions, and visual poetry of contemporary India. Moving beyond tourist imagery, the exhibition embraces wide-format framing to capture expansive urban tapestries, bustling railway terminals, coastal fishing communities, and quiet rural dawns.
The photographers engage with urgent socio-spatial questions: migration, communal coexistence, urban expansion, and environmental vulnerability. Through masterful composition, natural lighting, and compassionate observation, 'Wide Angle' affirms photography's enduring capacity as an instrument of social empathy and artistic truth.
