The 8th edition of the prestigious PM Mementos & e-Upahaar Exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi, features an extraordinary assembly of ceremonial honors, exquisite handicrafts, traditional folk paintings, and sculptural offerings presented to the Prime Minister. Each artifact in this national collection represents the rich artistic vocabulary and living heritage of artisans from every corner of India—from intricate Kashmiri silver work and Bidri metalware to Tanjore gold-leaf art, Madhubani canvases, and tribal brass bronzes.
This landmark exhibition serves a dual cultural purpose: celebrating indigenous craftsmanship while facilitating a nationwide e-auction whose proceeds are directly channeled into the conservation of the sacred River Ganga through the Namami Gange initiative. Curated across Jaipur House's historic galleries, visitors are invited to witness how traditional craft forms continue to embody contemporary national pride and civilizational identity.
