Nilima Sheikh: Fractured Skies

Co-organized by The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York, and the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), New Delhi, 'Nilima Sheikh: Fractured Skies' is a landmark solo presentation highlighting the internationally acclaimed artist's practice over the last twenty years. Known for her delicate use of casein tempera on paper and monumental hanging scrolls, Sheikh weaves together oral poetry, medieval mythology, Persian manuscripts, and contemporary geopolitical witness.

The exhibition features celebrated selections from 'Each Night Put Kashmir in Your Dreams', works from 'Home, Land', and the newly commissioned monumental series 'Shahid (Witness)'. Sheikh's luminous brushwork addresses themes of forced displacement, historical trauma, and lyrical remembrance with profound emotional resonance.
